Jock Bovington

Jock Bovington has been serving his clients investment needs since 1983. He is an investment advisor representative with LPL Financial and maintains both the general securities and principal registrations. He also holds an Economics degree from the University of Montana. Jock focuses primarily on assisting individual clients with effectively allocating their investment assets during both the accumulation and retirement stage of their lives. He also devotes time to servicing the firm’s 401(k) business. Outside of the office, Jock enjoys hiking Mount Helena, backpacking, and fly fishing.  Jock and his wife Tere have four grown children and three terrific grandsons. 

Matt Maloy, CIMA®, CFP®

Matt Maloy, is both a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA)® and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP)®.  He works extensively with pre-retirees, retirees, women-led households, and increasingly with highly successful Gen Xers considering early retirement.  A former valedictorian at Helena High, Matt studied at Oxford University and Gonzaga University as part of its Honors Program, graduating with a double major in Economics and International Relations.  Prior to joining our firm in 2017, Matt spent eight years as an Economic Officer in the U.S. Foreign Service, serving in the Caribbean, Brazil, and Southeast Asia.  He speaks fluent Portuguese and basic Indonesian.  During the pandemic, his lockdown project was to learn travel French and brush up on Spanish.  Matt and his wife Camila enjoy traveling, hiking with their Springer Spaniel, and sharing the joys of raising their two kids together.

Steve Miles

Steve Miles is a financial advisor with LPL Financial. He holds a general securities registration and has been in the financial services industry since 1995. Steve earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Montana State University in 1984. He's a fourth generation Helena resident and proud to be working in downtown Helena as his family has since the 1860s. Steve has a strong background in small family business. He maintains the Professional Plan Consultant (PPC) designation to further assist retirement plan clients.  Steve and his wife Bernie enjoy living in Helena and the many things it has to offer.

Chrisy Irey

Chrisy Irey joined The Investment Group in December 2023.  Chrisy is dedicated to helping clients navigate their financial path to retirement and educating them along the way.   She works most closely with Jock in providing his clients with portfolio management during the accumulation and retirement stages of their lives.  Chrisy served as the Finance Director of Rocky Mountain Development Council, a large Helena-area non-profit.  Immediately prior to joining our firm, she was a Financial Analyst with Greenfield Environmental Trust Group.  She brings over thirteen years of accounting and financial experience into her role as a financial advisor.  Chrisy earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Accountancy from the University of Montana.  Chrisy was born and raised in Miles City, Montana.  She and her husband, Jon, have two teenage daughters.  She enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.  Chrisy currently serves on the board of Premiere Dance Company.    

Camila Maloy

Camila joined our firm in October 2023.  A dual U.S.-Brazilian citizen, Camila worked for seven years for the U.S. Embassy in Brasilia.  At various points, her work covered telecommunications, bilateral military cooperation, promoting U.S. business interests, and enhancing international law enforcement efforts.  Although she passed the Brazilian bar exam after focusing on law in both her undergraduate and post-graduate studies, she does not practice as an attorney. Instead, we are thrilled to welcome her joyfulness and to apply her talents to our office operations.  She loves cooking, hiking, gathering for coffee, and volunteering regularly at her children’s school. 

Paul Maloy

Paul W. Maloy, Jr., retired from his role as an investment advisor at the Investment Group in December 2020.  Paul is a Montana native who earned an Economics degree from Carroll College in 1978 and who worked in the financial services industry for 42 years.  As a new retiree, he is looking forward to spending more time with his seven energetic grandchildren who all live nearby.  Paul and his wife Kathy can often be found exploring the trail network in the South Hills on their mountain bikes.
